Art of Judging

I recently had some pleasant surprises pounded at me by some of my close pals.A revelation which had reflected the truth of that moment but morphed as time escalated.

A rude remark from an intimate chum stating that he thought me to be a guy with lots of underlying glitches, then came another remark for another pal, he perceived me to be a filthy guy with whom long distances can never decrease.Another past colleague of mine who said "He never expected me to be so naughty" after atleast a week of silence. My relatives never expected me to be so unscrupulous after they had my first discourse of my values after years of indifference and public shyness.

Just put this question across to me intriguing the world which is with me.why did people judge me so when it did'nt sustain for long. What is this process called "Judgement" ?.After a night of brain tweaking, i came out with this.Judgement is drawing conclusions about the object based on our field of experience.Judgment is almost accompanied by its siblings opinion and prejudice in most cases.

Facts are things that you can prove to be true. You can prove that the deepest point on earth is the Challenger Deep at 11,033 metres.Opinions are statements we believe to be true, but they are difficult or even impossible to prove. Though you may be able to use facts to add credibility to an opinion, it is still an opinion."People want peace' is an opinion that would be very hard to prove true.Prejudice is the process of coming to a conclusion before a direct experience. The Bush administration demonstrated a prejudice that Iraq has a nuclear armament program by inferring that its biased assertion implied that Iraq has a nuclear armament program.

Judgment is based on some limited evidence which is little fine.Opinion is based on our own ideas which can neither be proved nor disproved which is tolerable.Prejudice is a preconceived opinion or bias which is passed before proper examination of the circumstances which is very dangerous.

Why at all we need to Judge people?.We are in this would of flux where everything changes and the mind can't take unpredicability easily. We are all desperate to predict the behavior of an object, we give the attributes based on our experience.Funny isn't it, we try to predict the unpredicable, we learn that its not possible and still we do it.May be we can start Judging when we have had enough(???) experience to judge it.

Wouldnt the world be an ideal place if we probably not judge people!

May be its better to let things be. Because when when a certain person behaves unpredictably which is not as expected by us (or as judged by us), that creates discomfort.

Great post...

Deii sara the truth is, all of us wear masks to unmask ourself and behave like what others expect of us! So we volunteeringly take in others feedback and changed our behavior consciously!!
chandru

agreed that we take feedback and changeis good.. Do we have to change /mask our inherent qualities only to find us in dissonance

There is stereotype which also forms/affects judgement... dont know how to define it though... good post
