Sex and God !!!!
Don't start your hushes and seek another lonely time to read this post, there is no taboo in this post. I am going to tell how people seek the same thing in different forms, each with its own longetivity.Why are humans so frenzy about sex, isn’t it for that one moment when we will forget ourselves?.Another ensuing question, why do people seek god and want to submit themselves to god, isn’t it all for that moment when we will de-identify ourselves and unite with the supreme beyond us?.
Hold on, don’t start your conclusions and start your sexy spiritual journey. I am not comparing apples and oranges. How would you react, if i say that the very near parts of the brain are activated when you have orgasm and when somebody says to have experienced god. It’s not my claim, i am no doctor. It’s what the famous neurosurgeon V.S Ramachandran had observed in his book "Phantoms in the Brain".
There is a cluster of cells located near the front of the thalamus (amidst front temporal lobe) in the middle of your brain. If patients are zapped in this region they claim to experience intense pleasure like a thousands orgasm rolled into one. In another instance, a man in Canada who stimulated his temporaral lobes claimed to have experienced god. He also goes to say the paradoxical combination of the loss of libido and a pre occupation with sexual rituals is not unusual in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy.
Another sprout of thought, how would your brain spring in surprise, if i said almost every tactile part in your body is mapped in your brain interconnected with your face and the other sensory counterparts. The map is called the "Penfield Map”. If you look at it closely you would know, why somebody is feels great when you kiss them on the forehead and its proximity linked with toes and foot.
Yet another question, If we all accept that god created every damn thing in this world (question relevant to a non-atheist!!!). Just look around and observe what its basic nature in every thing that god created. The trees want to grow, bears fruits and give flowers.Did you know that homosexuality, found its predominance in Christian missionaries and Buddhist monasteries where they were deprived of one of the basic physical need of a human.
I don't know why all beliefs or religions play with the fear factor adjunct with sex, right from eve's curse to every form of celibacy proclaimed by different thoughts. Why do they want us to renounce something, which is the basic nature of everything. They know that it comes you naturally and create a constant conflict within us through out your life.
I am not here to substantiate sex and urge you people to subscribe sex and start your dhamaka, neither am i advocating you people to go frantic in search of temples, churches and mosques to activate your temporaral lobes. I don’t want a hippie and barbaric movement seeking pleasure. There are things beyond these physical and psychological aspects. There are things well beyond this thing called sex and god which can give you happiness from within. First principles first, you cannot climb a cocunut tree from its top !!!
